About Me

 

After graduating from Gunnison High School years ago,  I spent the next 13 years living in Colorado Springs and worked in the insurance industry.  Once I started my family, I decided that I wanted to go back to school to get a degree in Education.  We moved back to Gunnison in 1996, and I finished my degree from Western State College in 1999. 

 

I have been working for Gunnison Watershed School District since 1999 and have found my niche teaching 5th grade. In May of 2012, I received my Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University.  In addition to teaching, I also coach the Gunnison Middle School Cross-Country team.

 

I am married and have two adult sons.  I love being outdoors as much as possible and spend my time mountain bike riding, stand-up paddle boarding,  hiking, running, and skiing. I am also an AVID Denver Bronco's fan!
